Talking Ball

Talking Ball is my personal brand that focuses on covering basketball in a positive tone. Through long and short-form content, I inform viewers of interesting and unpopular stats & facts, all while entertaining them with my optimistic and excited personality.

Talking Ball can be found on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. With plans for a podcast in the near future, my media personality is sure to grow an online presence through Talking Ball.

My Role for this project: On-Camera Personality, Social Media Content Creator

I write, record, and edit all of my content by myself!

I also run all of Talking Ball's social media accounts.

Although there is no consistent posting schedule for Talking Ball, I try to get out as much content as possible in order to provide as much entertainment as possible for the brand's viewers!

IT'S MORE THAN A LOGO

With Talking Ball, I aim to bring a positive influence to the currently toxic sport media space. I believe that there should be less arguing and more uplifting of players and teams. Bringing those players and teams down, or even worse, bringing down others because of their opinions on those players and teams, does nothing but harm people's mental health. Sports are supposed to bring joy to people's lives, and the current state of the media industry does not do that.

Talking Ball, through my positive personality and content, will solve the issue of toxicity in the sport media space.

I designed Talking Ball's logo in Adobe Illustrator, and purposefully made it simple and recognizable.

When viewers see the logo, I want them to associate it with positivity and entertainment.

ALL BY MYSELF

I am in complete creative control of Talking Ball, and have not received any assistance with this project.

There are many people in my corner who have shown support that I am incredibly grateful for, but the production of the content is entirely my doing.

ADDITIONAL CONTENT

To make my Talking Ball videos more engaging, I edit them on Adobe Premiere Pro to add additional content such as text/images.

Audiences listen best with visual cues, so adding captions and pictures of the video's topic tends to help viewer retention.

Adding player cutouts like the ones seen here are pretty simple--just cut the player out on Photoshop and edit it into the video!
